I see youve found an old Pathe News Reel. Who is Langford fighting there?

Langford is good enough to catch Rocky, and hits hard enough to knock him out.

The only logical outcome for me is a Langford knockout. Marciano was hurt by lesser punchers.

Rocky. Yes, Langford hits hard enough to knock Rocky down and yes, he might hurt him but I don´t think he knocks him out. Archie Moore, in terms of finishing ability and power about Langfod´s equal but bigger and a trickier fighter couldn´t do it but was overwhelemed and knocked out by Rocky. So, Rocky surviving Langford is quite likely. Not only that, Langford didn´t fight anyone who would make him fight 3 mins of every round the way Rocky would. I think Langfrod would knock Rocky down early and take an early league but Rocky´s workrate and own power would foce the smaller Langfod on the backfoot and keep him there pretty quickly and either the Rock stops him late or wins a clear decision.

Moore was 39 by his reckoning ,41 by his Mother's we are talking about a prime Langford.

True but he came of his career best run going into that fight and afterwards went on to fight about another decade and mostly contenders. Quite old but still about at his best.
