I finally got to watch the entire Jackson vs. Griffin fight in its entirety last night. The way I scored it: Round One 10-9 Jackson Round Two 10-8 Griffin Round Three 10-9 Jackson Round Four 10-9 Jackson Found Five 10-9 Griffin 47-47
That's pretty much how i scored it too. Although a couple of rounds were close and could have gone either way IMO.
I gave round four to Griffin, but it was closer than a 7o year old porn stars nippels in a wonder bra
I thought Round 4 was a clear Rampage round. Griffin got badly out-struck standing. So what if he locked in a triangle...Rampage got out of it pretty damn quick. and remained in dominant position. Round 5 was clear Griffin. Round 1 clear Rampage. Round 2 clear Griffin by 2 points. So it really depends on how you scored round 3. Note: I think a rematch will go Rampage's way without a doubt. I think he'll make the necessary adjustment and defend the leg kicks this time. You can see how much those leg kicks hurt him. In the 5th round there were a couple of times where he went to move and his body just stopped because his leg was in such bad shape. Forrest's work done to the legs early, won him the 5th round and the fight.
ok havent watched it in a while, maybe Im confusing round 3 with 4. But Im not gonna argue too hard if you gave the round to Rampage, it was close man, but Forest edged it for me
I had Forrest winning rounds 2,4,5 I dont recall making round 2 10-8 although you could have. Aside from that 1 punch Rampage landed in round 1 Forrest dominated that round with ease. You take away that 1 punch IMO its not even really that close of a fight. Forrest did much more he had a higher workrate, picked him apart with leg kicks, beat him up with knees inside the clinch, got him down GNPed and mounted him,got in a deep triangle.
i remember giving Griffin a slight advantage...I rember seeing jackson landing some pretty good shots but griffin was in the end..more active , he was doing most of the offensive attacks..
I gave Griffin round 4 as well. That was the swing round. In the final round - he just outworked Jackson down the stretch.
Thats pretty much how I saw it. The reason it felt so close was because you knew Rampage was so dangerous, and he proved it in the first round, but it was more the anticipation of damage than actual scoring blows that made it seem close.
I agree with you and to be honest your one of the few guys opinions I give a **** about people your very knowledagble I feel like if we agree that I must be right :yep
Well not really man like ive been a Randy fan since 5 or so years ago ive already delt with the 2 brutal Liddell losses so I can handle it. Ive grown up alittle ive dealt with my guys losing alittle better these days. Im worse off when one of my teamates loses. When I had my only MMA bout so far I wasnt worried and when I lost I was upset but saved it all for the drive home to reflect cause a few fights after mine was one of my best freinds and I was shaking for his fight and was very upset to watch him lose. Now I got teamates im alittle more emotionally attatched to these guys although im not exactly happy when the fighters I dont know that I love ala RJJ,Couture,Franklin,Mosley,MAB loses.
good thing to hear.. GSP is clearly an idol for me, he brought me to the sport, he is representing Quebec so nicely. The guys is my hero, i'm praticing MT because of him, i'm a black belt in Kyokushin Karate, just like him. He had it rough in youth unlike me. His first loss to Hughes, was acceptable, a rookie mistake, and he was young..But the Serra loss, was very disturbing, for one week I was in bad humour. **** i've watched all his fight, interview, read all about him. If one day, i've the opportunity to compete high level, that's gonna be because of him. I know it can sound childish when i'm protecting him but hey its a forum, you all know me, we have a cool group here, its nice.
