Mosley's right hand in the second round was indeed very dramatic, but he had only just missed with the same punch earlier in the first round, so it wasn't a huge surprise that it eventually landed.

The main thing I took away from the fight was Mayweather's aptitude at making adjustments mid-fight -- a trait all great fighter's possess, I think. Specifically, I think Mayweather adjusted to Mosley's right hand by taking a step back whenever Mosley tried to shuffle his way in closer. Mosley's plan, I believe, was to throw the straight right from a different range than Mayweather is accustomed. Anyway, Mosley had no plan B after that, or at least was unable to implement it against Floyd. Mayweather won virtually every round after the second by a wide margin. Mosley never got close to landing that right hand again, and was mercilessly picked apart.

Neat fight, showcases a lot of Mayweather's little in-ring talents and skills (pull counters, shoulder roll, check hooks, etc).

Yeah, Marg took a lot more shots cleanly. I don't know if he was roided though.

I think that fight made me believe maidana has no chance. Because even though Floyd starts slow, you can't catch him cold to knock him out. He starts slow to assess things.

Maidana is gonna come out like a bull in a china shop.

Mayweather was able to take that shot because he has a good chin and excellent conditioning.

I remember thinking that Mosley was old and past his prime but maybe he could land a big shot and get Mayweather in trouble and put him on the canvas. He did get him in trouble but he couldn't capitalize on it and ran out of gas then proceeded to be beaten senseless. Mosely could have beat him in his prime I believe, same for DLH.

It really hit home during this fight for me too, the adjustment was very noticeable and has been very noticeable ever since when he has done it in recent fights.

True. After analyzing that punch Mosley hit him with, I realize that punch could knock out a couple of people. It landed flush, with full power, and Mosley threw his body weight with it. THat punch would KO someone with even a little shaky chin.

Maidana will do better than most in my estimation. I think he'll find some success before losing.

And yeah F--K that concrete fist bum. Cotto's one of my favorite fighters of all time. I was mad as **** when I found out he cheated.

Loved seeing the actual O'Jays in the ring singing 'For The Love of Money'.

    Classic.

Maybe. The only thing is Floyd would be in his prime too. But to be honest i'd rather that fight had happened in 2005 or something. Too bad Floyd wasnt a draw until later. I would have liked that.
