Sucker punch was justified because of headbutt. Ortiz and Cortez made massive complacent mental errors.

thats the only way duckweather would get a ko punching a defenceless man while he is looking away 2 times not even once and he still managed to smile and get up

Cortez didn't make an error. Ortiz did by looking to apologize after Cortez called for the action to continue. And Ortiz should have been able to read Floyd's face......he wasn't trying to hug it out. He wanted some "Get Back"...yes it was a cheap shot but so was the headbutt. The difference was Floyd's cheap shot was legal.....victor's was not.

If only Ortiz had gone out on his shield, instead of the way he did. I think he's a very exciting fighter, but he needs to get his head in the game.

If Ortiz is a coward what are you? What have you accomplished in boxing? Not even an Ortiz fan just noticed how much of a dumb ignorant ***** you are.

 Floyd definitely isn't a KO artist but I think he could get Miadana out of there if he spends a little time targeting his body. Khan really took a lot out of Marcos with that shot that put him on the canvas. Floyd doesn't hit as hard but his timing and placement is much better. I think this is going to be a great performance for Floyd simply because Miadana is tailor made for Mayweather.

Fight was good to start, Ortiz was fast enough to give Mayweather some trouble and got in a few times. By the end you could tell Floyd had figured him out and Ortiz was losing his cool. I get the idea we would have gotten a "real" stoppage by the 10th if the fight didnt end the way it did

As for the KO I never understood why Mayweather, a boxer, took so much **** for punching a guy in the face and knocking him out. The idea that we blame a boxer for punching is ridiculous

I remember Ortiz's camp was like we watched his fights we learned all his dirty tricks we are ready. I mean he only did the same thing to Gatti and Mosley and the Shane fight was recent

I fully blame Ortiz for the way the fight ended, he took his eyes off of Floyd after getting hit by the left hook, then rather than take a knee or move or put his hands up which he had ample time to do he stood like a deer in the headlights and took his KO punch

I remember when he head butted him I was like yeah now we get to see a brawl, Floyds gonna get pissed and Ortiz is gonna make it a war

oops no wait he headbutted him then went soft and got crushed

I thought it was a mismatch from the start, even with Floyd's inactivity. Floyd is just a much better fighter than Ortiz.

The fight was good in spots. I prefer to see Mayweather throw more combinations, I liked the sequence early in the 4th round where Ortiz was avoiding Floyd's head shots, so Floyd went to the body. I liked his use of angles, knowing where the openings were.

The ending was legal, just not sportsmanlike (neither was Ortiz's E-Honda headbutt). I'm glad I didn't pay for it, I would've been mad at that ending.

I have no sympathy for that weirdo Ortiz though. Throwing the most blatant headbutt this side of Carlos Maussa, and then kissing Floyd and apologizing repeatedly.
