Orishman. Do you even know why I made that post?

He is saying Pavlik has a **** chin because he was knocked down.

Does Cotto have a **** chin? Cause according to the guy you are defending he does.

Yes, I did...and your analogy was flawed...since all of them were either early on their career or late on their careers, and with Ali was both early and late.....

Pavlik is on his prime and so was JT...very different, very few of those matches you mentioned either boxers was past or before their prime.....

    Not a good analogy...

But according to him it doesn't matter. It just matters that you were KDed before or past your prime.

Did I started this thread becuase I dislike Pavlik...nope, in fact I clearly stated I like the cat, he is a gemar...but the fact of the matter is that he got drop by a guy that didn't dop anyone in two years, and the cat he drop was by all practical purposes a 16 fight newbie....

Jermain proof once again that his technique lagged behind his heart, his lack of coordinated attack to finish Pavlike cost him the fight....

I disagree about the gift desicion, the point of the matter is that he fought 38 rounds agaisnt the best 160 pounders and the outcome was not clear...meaning he made the fights that close win lose or draw....those are facts, not speculations...facts...for that reason impressive win for Pavlik, one that he grabbed from the deep in the teeth of defeat.....

The kd vs taylor was a fluke I think. The lights, the hype, the crowd, the title matchup, the guy's brain and heart must have been racing a mile a minute. He got careless dropped his guard and payed for it against a professional fighter. Afterwards, he settled in, went back to his game plan and won the fight.

Pavlik took some huge shots from edison miranda, some that would put any normal man on fear street. Pavlik has a great chin and I would blame the kd vs taylor on anxiety and carelessness rather than the result of miranda's bombs.

    WAR PAVLIK

WTF are you talking about. Miranda dominated Abraham and Pavlik dominated Miranda. Do your homework...

Taylor really had no respect for Pavlik and came in trying to go for the quick KO. H felt in his heart there was no way after the caliber of fighters he had faced that this guy Pavlik could beat him. Jermain was willing to take chances and open up and well Kelly was a lot more poweful than Jermain expected and he got KTFO. Jermain should have been aware after the Kelly v Miranda scrap that Pavlik was no slouch, as he went toe to toe with a strong puncher like Miranda and just crushed him.

If suffering an occassional knock down meant that a fighter had chin problems that would mean that Bobby Chacon, Danny Lopez, Alexis Arguello, Ray Mancinni, Aaron Pryor, Arturo Gatti, and Miguel Cotto all had glass jaws, and only a complete ****** would believe that. Questions about Pavlik's chin are generally exagerated, and sometimes border on assinine.

Pavlik's has fought above 160 a total of 12 times. He has competed as high as 175. His last 6 opponents had a combined 163 fights with 116 knock outs. Zuniga had an 85% KO ratio. Miranda's KO ratio was just shy of 90%. Zertuche's was just shy of 80%. kelly has been down 3 times in 32 fights. He was up quick everytime, and won by knock out everytime. I have absolutely no clue how anyone can look at the facts and claim Pavlik has chin problems!

Pavlik gets knocked down for two reasons: 1) he seems to have some balance problems. 2) He also seems to have a near total disdain for defensive boxing.

In the Taylor fight the kid got cocky because JT was throwing almost as many elbows as he was legal punches. Pavlik was just trying to communicate a good solid **** YOU to Taylor by droppng his hands and sticking his chin out. STEVIE WONDER AND RAY CHARLES COULD SEE THAT!!! Anyone who is counting on Taylor recreating round 2 will be sorely disappointed in the rematch. Kelly is a smart kid who won't make the same stupid mistake again.

I was never a Taylor fan until last September. I am one now. Taylor fought like a champion, and went out on his shield like a true warrior. He is also the first Pavlik victim who ever had the balls to ask for a rematch. He can't win, but at least he's willing to try . I applaud his courage.:deal

If his stand and front feet would have been on the right position the punch would have been a good punch that would have KD also, the KD punch that nearly send him to the full count, was a perfect punch aided by Pavlik balance and bad footwork at that time he was hurt....and his legs were gone...so if you think he laid his chin for the taking, he was stupid....protect yoursef at all time...entiende ..ke words ..at all time....he acted like a fool and nearly paid for it with an embarrasing lost....

Like I said JT didn;t have a KD against top competion for two years, know regardless of what people think around here, he did fought the best competition at 160 held his own.....and that is a fact....But his amaterish approach to boxing cost him the fight when he just couldnl;t put an attack together to finish the job
