    Damn. You know something, you're absolutely right. Ring did indeed have Hopkins one place ahead of Jones.

    That being said, I think one of the previous posters made a great point - the fight was proposed at a catchweight, even though it would have still been for Jones' LHW title. That's quite a demand to make when you're insisting on 50/50 on top of that. He was in a much better bargaining position against Tarver and didn't ask for a catchweight. I think Hopkins had an over-inflated sense of his market value, which is why he deserves most of the blame for the fight not happening.

    Don't forget that it would have been a catchweight, and Roy would had to have moved down in weight. Moving down is obviously much harder than moving up.

    Well my point is a shot Jones and a shot Tito drew more than a prime Hopkins and a prime Tito. Jones was always more popular than Hopkins
