Give credit where credit is due, Vitali comes in to knock people out. Every fight except one was won by knockout. The only fighter he couldn't put away was Timo Hoffman.

Was this supreme knockout percentage only because of the quality of opposition, or is Vitali just in there to take people out?

His quality of opposition wasn't very good. He's heavy handed, but more of an accurate accumulation puncher (against better opposition), hence the exhausted, fat Corrie Sanders lasting eight rounds with him, getting pummeled but lasting on his feet.

A high KO percentage is nice, but can only mean so much.

Hell, Mac Foster and Lamar Clark's KO-to-win percentages were ridiculous.

Michael Moorer's KO percentage at light-heavyweight (and early on at heavyweight) was amazing. His opposition, not-so-much.

He has the highest KO percentage of any heavyweight belt holder of all time in overall fights and has never been knocked down professionally.

I heard that Timo Hoffman barely survived too. Klitschko punishes his opponents round after round.

He drops people on their asses. Good for him but I still dont think he is gonna be a factor in the heavyweight division.

I feel he will be. He was only ever in 1 real war, and that was with Lewis and he didn't even go down in that fight. This tells me the layoff probably didn't affect him very much.

He looks like he stayed in shape the whole time.
