But when you bring up how Hopkins schooled Calzaghe by landing the cleaner effective punches throughout most of the rounds and how Calzaghe was missing tons of punches throughout the whole fight they don't want to hear it on this site.(and Hopkins was the counterpuncher, but they reward ineffective aggression to Calzaghe because he outhustled Hopkins towards the end of the fight because 3 rds. at most where Hopkins coasted a little and got a little tired) A fan is never gonna know how to score a fight the right, because there fans.

And of course, Lederman quotes over at the scene that he scored the fight for Adamek because he was coming forward trying to sustain a punch, whereas Cunningham would throw one solid scoring shot and run. It's the most blatant example of a scorer going by his stylistic preferences to award rounds.

Keep in mind...Lederman scored DLH-Trinidad as a draw, simply because Trinidad was coming forward for the majority of the fight.

Given the very clear poll, I wonder how so many idiots scored it for Adamek? Nobody so far has made a good case for it. Not even remotely.

shouldnt score on preference because it handicaps one of the fighters...certainly not fair.

Well I wouldn't know about that but if it's true then that's wrong also, I'm just talking about the topic in this thread.

there is the rulebook and there is generally what goes in boxing commonlaw. from the amatuers all the way up to the highest level, many judges favor the agressor. it does not have to be written in the rulebook.

here is the mistake you are making, just bc someone fights off te back foot means there is ring generalship. ring generalship can also go towards the guy who is moving forward.

it was not necessarily clear who was dictating the pace in this fight. . although cunningham ladnded some clean shots especially behind the jab, he was not active enough he took a lot of time off in the rounds. just bc you land 1 or 2 punches and move away is not necessarily boxing. adamek had to cutoff the ring and landed some hard body shots and made steve put on the earmuffs.

how the fighter reacts to the punches is also whats important, it was claer that adamek was hurting steve but not the other way around.

if i i have a guy who lands 10 jabs but the opponent lands 5 Power Punches that effect how the fighter moves, its not so clear cut who teh winner is - many judges will favor the power punches especially if he has to walk forward to make the fight.

what i see in this gif is

-adamek pummeling away on USS in the corner trying to impose his will lands 2 rights to the head
-USS tries to counter with right upperhook while adamek is swingin and he goes off balance, US slides out to get away
-admak throws 4 shots to USS 1 clean shot
    ADVANTAGE - ADAMEK

    second clip
-again adamek is trying to pummel away on USS on the ropes
    -admake is throwing more punches
-they both land 1 or 2 punches each
    ADVANTAGE ADAMAKE

third clip (replay from different angle)
-AGAIN adamek is tryinig to pummel away on USS on the ropes
-USS is trying to get away to avoid the bombs
-adamek lands a right hand as USS evades that send US to the other side of the ring
    ADVANTAGE ADAMEK

where the fark is the robbery?

Hate the term 'running'. Its a boxing ring, not an open corn field. Cut the ring off.

He is referring to TKO6, which has no bearing on the immediate conversation at hand.

When you've got nothing else, divert and obfuscate! :deal

This is because you are too stupid to realize that your poll has nothing to do with the fight. Adamek was effective in his aggression and outlanded Cunningham in power puches 120 to 80.

USS would of been knocked out if Adamek actually landed 120 of these so called power punches....
