It didn't land for the most part, it did back him up. I had it 9-3 the same as the OP, Oscar was made to be completely ineffective, Mayweather was overly cautious, which may partly have been down to breaking his hand in the fight prior
It's irrelevant whether I could beat them or not (although at 6'4 and 220 I'd probably be made favourite by the "size matters" crowd here on ESB). The point is, this "Super Fight" was ****ing ****, to put it bluntly. 12 rounds of waltzing. And they both looked fine and fresh as daisies when it was over. Like a glorified work-out. It was a joke. It's stupid to say "Oh, but you can't beat them !" .... so what ? We don't judge the value of a professional's work by whether they can do their job better than we can, esp. when we pay them to do that job. Pay to see a fight, you have the right to note if it turns out to be a non-fight. It was utter shite.
Yeah I agree, a really **** fight. A lot of people blame Floyd for that because many of his fights are pretty boring, but Oscar was involved in his fair share of stinkers too.
Well thats just it with Floyd. I dont know if they were posing or waltzing, but Mayweather doesnt get into brawls. Hes one of the most technical fighters ever who fights at a very controlled technical pace. I dont really understand how the guy is a PPV star myself? DLH was just outclassed and ineffective thats why all he could do was crowd Mayweather and pound on his kidney belt. I disagree he was effective in anyway with his jab or anything other than physically trying to maul Mayweather with no real purpose. Some scored that on the basis of affective aggressiveness, but overall it was worthless nothing.
