The first fight was a bigger robbery had GGG wining 9 rounds Canelo was backing up alot running and GGG was controlling the fight with his jab and beating him easy

Now thw second fight was more closer but GGG still won clearly for me hurt him badly in round 10 and 11

Golovkin was 35/36 when he fought Canelo who was in his prime and still dominated him

Even if canelo fights GGG now he will be in for a tough fight tough fight

Why did you have to rewatch them? Wasn't that quite apparent the first time?

Bro... of course he was robbed.
GGG won 16 or 17 of the 24 rounds they shared

Old GGG beat the P4P great Canelo twice, imo GGG is my p4p number 1 till someone beats him, Derevyachenko was very close but I think the KD won the fight for GGG

Agree on fight one - I had that 116-112 to GGG

But I had Canelo 115-113 in the 2nd mostly as Canelo held the centre of the ring more, and backed up GGG up a heck of a lot more than the first fight. In first fight GGG was the clear Ring General, but IMO that was Canelo in the 2nd fight.

However, in the 2nd fight I could see how it could be scored 115-113 to GGG or a draw, it was close, with many close rounds.

Far less so in the first fight, which was a clear GGG win - the best I could give Canelo would be a draw giving all the close rounds.

I'm definitley gonna watch these again over the break and see if those cards still hold!

Both were great fights between top operators.

Bull**** Canelo won both fights on my scorecard. The first fight Canelo won rounds 1-4 with sleek school boxing adapting the Mayweather style even gave him some shoulder rolls. then swept 10,11 and 12 so I scored it 116-112 though accept 115-113 even though the judges made it a draw. In the 2nd fight Canelo gave GGG the requested for Mexican style and in my opinion won at least 5 of the first 6 rounds. GGG tried to rally late but Canelo was very much in it. I had it 116-112 but could accept 117-111 in Canelo’s favour. The commentary and Harold Ledermann were biased against Canelo but thankfully the judges did there job. In a 3rd fight which is not necessary Canelo will stop him.

    Yes, I think so too.

I thought Ward clearly beat Kovalev both times, but Golovkin was flat-out robbed. They always rig the cards for that ginger ****.

    **** that cheater Canelo.

I really would rather not see another rematch. Even when Golovkin clearly won before, they wouldn't give it to him. If they fight again, Golovkin will be too old and he'll just get legitimately beaten. I guess Golovkin can do it for the payday, but I don't want to see it.

Agree. There's a reason why Canelo is so reluctant to fight even this old version of Golovkin. GGG is one of the few people that can actually hurt him.

Of course fans score how they wish. You do have rights on your opinion, I do have rights on my opinion.
Canelo had lost both these fights if they happened in U.K vs U.K fighter – guy under good promoter.

Looks that Canelo is typical protected hometown fighter.
He is not like guys Dorticos or Tabiti.
typical hometown fighter – big tickets seller.

Looks like my scorecard was more in line with the professional judges which might indicate I know what I am doing when I score fights.

    1st fight I had 116-112 to GGG
    2nd fight I had 117-111 to GGG

The vast majority of boxing pundits had GGG clearly winning the first fight. In the second fight more people gave it to Canelo because he was holding the centre of the ring, even though he was getting outboxed and losing most of the rounds.
