This was a very satisfying fight for me. I will never be able to recapture the satisfaction I had when it was happening in real time. But it's still an incredible fight and Crawford beat his ass so bad. Spence was never dedicated to the craft like Crawford and there was a lot of smoke and mirrors to Spence's career. None of the PBC guys could handle Crawford. This content is protected
I remember being in disbelief at the first knockdown. That was supposed to be a really competitive fight with tight odds. Something we rarely experience at that level.
Wasn't interested in the lead up because spence was clearly past it by many years Didn't watch it after seeing the weigh in, totally draino'd. Both might as well have made it at 154 at that point....but no doubt Crawfish's team would not agree to that.
Another satisfying whoopin was Chavez Jr getting stopped by Fonfara. The Spence fight wasn't satisfying for me. I was hoping for the modern day version of Hearns/Leonard.
Fantastic performance, though Spence looked a bit frail. He was buzzed in his previous fight. Then there was another stretch of inactivity before Crawford.
Outstanding performance by Crawford, Spence was outclassed that night. For me Crawford was one of the best boxers ever and his great friend Stevenson is following in his footsteps.
