I rewatched a segment of it, and I have to admit, I'd forgotten how...flustered Mayweather seemed at times. It wasn't as close a fight as the Hoya match, and Judah landed cleaner, better shots on Floyd, but I don't think I've seen Floyd work at such a high pace in his other recent bouts. You might have to go back to 2004 and the Corley match to find a fight where Floyd was in such an energetic bout, coming under a sustained attack and having to really assert himself. (Although I haven't seen the Bruseles bout, so no idea what he looked like there.)

Hatton was smothering him, bulling him around at points, pushing him into the ropes, throwing shots at Floyd's arms, back, etc and making it quite a rough, awkward affair. At the time, people were praising Floyd for finally going back to throwing combinations, which he hadn't done consistently since the Gatti fight. Looking back on it, though...it was like he was throwing combinations because he realised that the usual single shot routine simply wasn't enough to deter Hatton. Hatton just kept on coming rather than backing off or becoming wary, so Floyd had to up his game and unleash three or four shots in a row to back him up at points. It's interesting, as he hasn't really had to do that again since that fight...

It was round 8. Hatton was getting beat down big time. Cortez warned his corner after that round that if he kept taking punishment like that, he would stop the fight.

Un****ingbelievable. I'm starting to think Bazooka is bi-polar or something. One minute he's cool with you the next he's tearing you down and going off.

Yea he apologized and was completely cool. We were debating fine, then one day, his whole attitude changed and he started to attack me on everything, brought up my father again and I was like. Im not doing this again. I just ignore him. It's disgraceful, and he's already doing it again.
