Just finishing rewatching the fight, and it still shocks me at the resiliance shown by Barkley, especially those left hooks that Hearns was whipping into his body.

Great fight, infact another Hearns 3 round classic.

    Which Hearns fights weren't classics?

Hearns always gave it his all and you would never watch one of his fights disappointed because of no action.

Now he can barely put sentences together and if he needed financial assistance from the fans he gave so many great fights to, he would be let down. Great fighter, poorly managed. Should not have been in so many gym and fight wars.

If you don't pity Barkley then you don't have a heart. At least it seems like Hearns still has a few bucks. Tommy has a nice crib, but he never indulged in the massive mega mansions like Holyfield, etc. I think Manny Steward did a decent job financially managing most of his fighters.

Stupid 3 knock down rule. Barkley could've continued. Although I am still not sure he would've beat Benn. But he was OK when they stopped the fight, even the referee wanted it to continue and was confused, since Barkley was in good condition. Imagine Pac vs Marquez being 3 knockdown rule...
