Maidana is rugged as hell, he squirms out of clinches like a worm, which can be a great asset if he ever gets Floyd hurt. Good swarmer and good finisher. But.. Expect to see Mayweather coming forward, countering and popping him at will with combos and potshots. This could be a Gatti style beatdown if Mayweather still got it. A Gatti styled beatdown is what I wanted to see from Mayweather for a loooong time. I really hope this is the fight I see that. To Floyd haters - Yes, this is a mismatch, but at this point in time - who isn't?
Mayweather won't come forward unless Maidana is physically done. And even then, Mayweather won't press hard enough to go for a KO. Early rounds, Maidana will press as hard as possible, miss all of shots, (unless freak KO to the back of the head), and tire in the late rounds. There will be some rounds where Floyd is bouncing shots off of Maidana's head and people are like damn...he's going down, then Maidana will get resurgent, possibly even hit Floyd, and Floyd will go back to boxing. This might happen again later, but chances are, it will just be Floyd pot shotting a tired as hell Maidana.
Maidana could cause Void problems, but the fight has already been decided, waste of money for anyone to buy it............
Madiana went life and death with Lopez, then destroyed the over-hyped Broener. In reality he deserves not this title fight, but I am quite pleased he is at least getting a pay-day for this charade.
