1. Damn that must have been a nightmare for Cotto. An experience that left him feeling completely feeling completely helpless. He didn't get caught with a single shot, or out-classed by a superior technician. He stood there and gave his opponent everything he had and the guy just took it. He was "out fought", not "out boxed" by the tougher and more durable man. He, being a proud warrior and fighter, resorted to taking a knee twice to avoid further punishment. And I, being a fan of Cotto still, worry if he can mentally recover from it. 2. Shane Mosley is going beat Margarito tomorrow night :deal
I'm leaning towards shane... stylistically i think he has the advantage. If he doesn't ran out of gas and can maintain his speed the whole fight i think he'll win. but i wouldn't be surprise if it ends up like the cotto fight.
It must have been an even bigger nightmare for you to wake up to the real world after having your head tucked in your ass for so long. You are going to be proven wrong once again this weekend. BALCO is bust baby!
Run out of gas? Or get it beat out of him... I hear alot of people saying how Cotto ran out of gas aswell, I think it has to do with getting it beat out of them (The fighter). That said, I can't wait for Sat. Shane is on a mission & Margarito will be ready. :bbb
No I remember the Clottey and Williams fights too, and I also remember all you Margarito nuthuggers being especially quiet during the months after those reality checks
Yeah Margo put an old fashion ass whooping on Cotto. That's why I don't see why the rematch is even being discussed. Cotto will never be able to stand up to Margo's attack. He simply doesn't have the chin or defensive skills to do it. Not to mnetion him saying he wouldn't clinch Margo in the rematch.:-( I would be shocked if Shane won only because I feel that he is shot. He showed me nothing in his last fight by going life and death with an equally shot Mayorga. A prime Mosely wins this fight by wide UD but this version will start fast fade and take a beating in the late rounds but unlike Cotto he will see the final bell.
Dawg when Margarito whoops Shane I want you to get on here and proclaim that Margarito is the best welterweight in the world. Hands down.
Yeah, Cotto went to a place that, thankfully, few of us will ever go. It would be difficult for any boxing fan not to have felt a little disturbed by his plight in the ring that night.
The question is, has Shane Mosley ever been tested in a way that Margarito tests his opponents. Combine Shane's age, which has affected his physical abilities, I am not sure how much pressure he could withstand at this point of his career. It should be interesting. A lot depends on how he will fight Margarito; if he decides to go to war, he will make it worse for himself. I just can't see Mosley running from Margarito.
