Rewatched Margarito/Cotto AGAIN and...

Cant see it, Mosely lost clearly to Cotto IMO & on my card would have lost decisively again to the talentless Mayorga if not for the last second KO - something that WILL NOT EVER happen vs Margo.

Shane is all done, nothing is impossible but you got to go with the bigger fresher man in this one, Margarito.

 

It was one of those moments in boxing when you start to internalize what you're seeing. Cotto was a broken, beaten man, taken into deep waters - it was like something out of a movie......Tomorrow's fight is going to be a WAR.

 

Shane will get retired in this fight. Margo took everything Cotto had and Cotto at this stage have better workrate, stamina and power. I love Mosley but he aint lasting more than Cotto, that would be impossible.

People forget that Cotto looked like a virtuoso in the earlier rounds of this fight.

Cotto went through what Kermit went through. Threw the kitchen sink at Margarito and he just walked through it. You could see both men's heart's breaking. Margarito has to be a candidate for brain trouble when he gives up. The shots he's taken.

 

agreed, although Cotto taught margarito a boxing lesson in the opening rounds, he couln't hurt him. Margarito kept walking him down! Like one of those nightmares when he strike out and feel completly slow and powerless!
Cotto remains a force however and would be a stiff test for any boxer around his weight.

A boxer is remembered for taking risks and having the balls to step into the ring with any fighter he feels he can beat. Someone who keeps on telling himself he is the best just cant quite find it within himself to challenge his abilities.

He is afraid to lose his 0 which would probably had of gone by now if he had of taken more riskier fights. You cant even compare Floyd to Margarito, look at where Margarito has come from, he never had nothing handed to him on a plate, he had to fight for everything and he learnt the hard way, getting thrown in with grown men at the age of 15. The reason I dont like the way you guys comment on here is because true boxing purists give respect to fighters regardless and as much as I've highlighted things about Floyd I still respect his ability but I cannot respect the non risk taking and then him still claiming to be able to beat anyone and everyone. Its a bit suspect to me. Floyd will never fight Margarito because Margarito would be the man to make Floyd actually fight and Floyd does not want to fight he wants easy paydays...margarito is fighting shane and as much as everyone tries to talk about Shane slowing, he really isn't, he is still a live opponent and is no way near being shot so this fight is 50/50 in my opinion, Margarito fought Williams and that is the main thing, HE FOUGHT HIM, I cannot see Mayweather fighting any of the guys I mentioned up top because as I said before he is not interested in having to fight he wants to beat up on less risky opponents and get easy paydays. If Margarito was as easy to beat as Floyd kept telling everyone then why has he not taken the fight or tried to make it. Everyone with half a boxing brain knows that Margarito was a dangerous fighter even before he landed any big fights and if you are a true boxing scholar you yourself should know that but you sound like a casual fan with no in depth boxing knowledge, just an opinion about a fighter u dont know anythng about.

Keep on routing for your boy Mayweather, because he is not even an active fighter anymore, Margarito is and he has done much more at WW than Floyd ever could. Floyd ducked out just in time, the heat was too much for him, thats probably why he was crying in the press con after the Baldomir fight...He didn't want to get his ass handed back to him in a proper fight against a top WW...:hi:
