If it hadnt have been for that dumbass ref. Cotto was nearly down, and probably would have been out. Water on the floor ? Wtf. They were no where near it. Cotto was going down and Mosley would have had him out by the 10th. Same with Calzaghe/Kessler. Kessler was hurt against the ropes and ref comes in for behind the head hitting. Oh No. ref's need to let the action go in situations like that. In total contrast, Cortez in the PBF/Hatton fight stopped the action everytime a punch was thrown, compared to ref's like Tony Weeks who leave the action go no matter what. Thats what fight fans come to see. Bull**** referring in boxing today, bull**** judging. Killing the sport.
Shane slipped on water, although I don't feel time should of been called, I feel he should of moved them to away from that corner and let the action continue while the Cotto's corner whiped the water up.
IMO...Fight was a draw!!! 114-114, but i can easily see how anyone could give a round either way. As for the slip....it was slightly contraversial but Cotto's chin that night was great you couldnt 100% guarentee he would have hit the deck. I think It would make a good rematch.....but I wouldnt think it would be as close if Cotto keeps utilising that jab and his chin keeps improving. Shane is a great boxer who keeps coming back...he did very well & fought a good fight against a younger, stronger & bigger opponent.! 100% more respect than the golden Girl ODLH....... & I can confirm with the above post that Mosley did say he would rematch him........I dont think it will happen.....
What the ref did was pretty dumb, but Shane wouldn't have won of it. He probably would of made it a closer fight though.
you're ****ing stupidatsch Cotto wasn't hurt or in trouble in that fight...you really need to come back to reality.
