Yeah thats whats im saying.... on any given day whyte can win or lose 50 50 to the top guys.

Scissors is conning the forum making it look like Whyte aint on there level... especially after Ruiz performance.

I said it everyday on this forum...AJ aint invincible Dillian would have done what Ruiz did.

Mate, could you repost that video on this thread ‘time stamped’ where Joshua is retreating like mad and the ref jumps in?

This is the moment I was referring to earlier on this thread. I didn’t realise Joshua had been clipped and was in trouble because i’m certain the Sky commentators didn’t reference it like the American commentators did.

While I don’t agree that Parker would’ve “ruiz’d” him, wtf was the red playing at...

Do remember thinking that at the time.

Joshua did get caught but didn’t look in big trouble.

    Thanks bud.

I thought this was a very good boxing display from Joshua, but...he was protected by the referee here. He was in trouble from that shot and who knows what would have happened had the ref not ruined that as he did throughout the fight.

We overlook this fight and sort of write off Parker...but that lad has had a tough deal in his last 2 fights in the U.K. imo.

Regarding that last sentence, the way Joshua retreated reminded me of Bellew v Haye 2 when he clipped Haye with a shot that didn’t look like much and Haye retreated in exactly the same way before Bellew caught up with him and knocked him down. Joshua looked temporarily hurt and vulnerable there.

Jesus Christ. I was drunk that night so it escaped me. I thought AJ boxed very well but that literally could have been the end of the fight. Unbelievable.

Fighters don’t quickly retreat backwards around the edge of 3 sides of the ring if they’re not hurt. He was in trouble then imo.

I don't think Joshua was in immediate danger. We've seen several times now that when Joshua is properly hurt it has a major affect throughout his body and he doesn't recover quickly. The legs stiffen and the gas tank empties; it took him a couple of rounds to shake it off against Whyte, and even longer against Klitschko. He was back firing within seconds, and had no obvious effects from there on.

With a more prolonged exchange though Parker could have landed something more significant. He may also have walked onto something himself.

What we can all agree on though is that the referee was a complete putz.

Whyteleafe might be 50:50 against the chinny robot.

    He’s 20:80 against wilder and he’s 1:99 against Fury

The more I watch that clip the more shocking it becomes. The referee is absolutely shameless to break up the action at that point and then has the temerity to wag his finger at Parker for throwing punches.

Not trying to be funny, and I'm not trying to kick AJ while he's down but that was some Sven Ottke level nonsense..

In a way, it's a shame Joshua is 30 already, because if he was a bit younger I'd tell him to relocate to the states for a few years with a new trainer and rebuild over there from basically scratch, and just look at it as an adventure type thing.

As a 30 year old though he is just going to have to try and tape over the holes and hope for the best
