I remember thinking Pavik was a little to ABC for Hopkins but because of the Calzaghe loss I picked Kelly. Really I should have stuck to my guns! Hopkins looked so confident in the Countdown show! "What are we gonna do with that right hand, Nazim?" "Put it in the same drawer we put Trinidad's left hook in!" Hopkins was ****in Awesome!
I thought Hopkins would win. I have never been that big on Kelly, even after his whipping of Miranda and JT. I never thought that Hopkins would dominate in such the way that he did. What a preformance. It was bitter sweet for me. I took so much crap from these Pavlik fans after the Miranda loss. I told them all enjoy it now because this is boxing and your day of shame will come. Hey, I know I cant win any arguments since the bottom line is Kelly destroyed Miranda. But it was nice to see these fans come back to reality that KP was no an all time great. There are a few of you fans out there that have always been nice, so I mean no disprect to you..... just the assholes that came and went. Through it all, I am still here!
I knew b-hop wud win. His style wud confuse pavlik but i have to say i didnt think he wud look 10 years younger. Pavlik actually said he doesnt know what happened and that it wasnt like hopkins was that gud or crafty. M,aybe he shud watch the fight. Maybe b-hop hit him harder than i thought.
I guess Pavlik gets no credit moving up 10 lbs. And to hear people ***** and moan that JMM had to move up the same amount of weight.
I'm still astonished by the fact that people claim to know something about boxing, and claim to have seen many Pavlik fights, and then turn around and deny the well documented problems KP had. The sick and injured version of Kelly Pavlik that climbed in the ring on the night of October 18th, 2008 would have lost to Zuniga, McKart, and Zertuche. Miranda would have knocked him out, and Jermain Taylor might of killed him. BHop looked good, but it just isn't that hard to look good when your opponent is operating at 50-60% of normal.
