    Taylor could have been a tough match up for GGG. I see either Taylor winning a solid decision like 8-4 or Golovkin comes back on the cards when he hurts Taylor and then finishes him.

    Pavlik was a technician, maybe not supreme technican, but no crude brawler. You don't look that good being that slow and unathletic if you don't know what you're doing. Pavlik had all the punches, tremendous accuracy and ring IQ.

    Don't agree with this at all.

    Pavlik's style is best suited to come forward fighters with little to no lateral movement like GGG. Look at the Edison Miranda fight as an example.

    Pavlik also has a considerable size and reach advantage and I think he would be able to land the double jab consistently. I think GGG gets stopped if he tries to stand there and trade with Pavlik or try to run him over as he has done in every single fight bar Jacobs. I think GGG's best chance is by going to the body and he would probably have success there, but he doesn't have the shrewdness or movement like Hopkins did to stay away from Pavlik.

    Good post. Pavlik's height, reach, and power present problems from Golovkin. Whether it's too much overcome I don't know. 50/50 fight in my opinion. Well, pre alcohol version of Kelly.

    I'm positive that GGG's never seen someone throw 2 jabs consecutively. No way he could prep for it.

    The tactical brilliance of Jack Loew and scientific prowess of Pavlik would only mean dissection for Golovkin. GGG gets taken down and taken apart, looking something more like this: g.......g........g.

    Taylor had a leaky defense and very average chin. Triple G is good and finding openings and can bang plus he cuts ring off extremely well, I like Triple G in the matchup. Would be fun though.

    Prime Pavlik was a monster. So tall, so long, so much leverage coming down on those jabs and right hands. He had just barely missed Paul Williams (staff infection in his right hand) which would have been an old school middleweight fight.

    Kelly Pavlik was my favorite active fighter when he was fighting. It's great to see him getting appreciation now that he's gone from the sport. I felt that he was generally underappreciated when he was active, but I guess his absence has made the hearts of fans grow fonder.

    Tough dude and good power and heart, but Hopkins exposed huge holes in his skills and GGG would do the same while eventually beating him down.
