Rewatched the fight without US commentators, yes loma was robbed (again)

Can't win rounds by feinting and wrapping your gloves around your head no matter how pretty your defense is. I was pulling for Loma but thought Lopez won easily. And I don't care to see them fight again

 

Loma needed to start a couple rounds earlier & the same type of performance in the 12th round that he had in the 11th for a chance to win it at all.

it was a good fight but Teo iced it in the 12th round.

Loma took too long to start throwing punches amd Teo did enough to win the early rounds despite not a lot of action.

 

Watched the fight with a few friends from work. We were drinking, not keeping score cards. I think the fight boiled down to what the judges favoured in the criteria. When the fight was over I was pretty drunk by that time and others were feeling pretty good too. Most felt it was a draw, I agreed saying that if anyone won the fight it was Lopez. We were all aware that Lopez was hitting gloves a lot of the time and Loma was very accurate when he threw, but he just didn't throw enough to win the fight. That one card was ridiculous! Good fight by both men, I would love to see a rematch.

 

These are the same people who think if a guy gets hit 2-3 clean hard shots and shakes his head no, the guy who got hit won the exchange lol.

If Teo partially landed shots in a combo and Loma didn’t counter, the partially landed shots are greater than ‘well he didn’t hit him flush’ with no return.

 

Interesting. Not the first post I've seen giving 7 to Lopez while also 2 to Loma. On Saturday I thought 2 was the more clear round even though both of them were close.

And beat him up when he chose to fight. Of course they don't want to have a rematch against a angry Loma who will start earlier. I think they should have a rematch to see who is really better at this weight class. At the post fight press conference Lopez showed no interest in a rematch.

teo is better. when it was time to prove it, he did. what you are asking for is another chance for loma to prove what he couldn't when it was time to put up.

 

For being drunk, you guys seemed to see the fight accurately.

 

If you watch the fight in slow-mo, you can see Elvis at ringside in the second round.

And if you listen the comments in reverse, you can listen stairway to heaven at the end of the 8th round.

In slow-mo you can see Elvis celebrating the unification of the titles with Lomo at the end of the fight too.
