Rewatched the Khan/Maidana...

    While I give credit to khan for pulling out with the win, besides his skill, LUCK helped him win that fight. He was lucky because

    1. maidana got one point taken away (I had the fight khan by 1 point, if maidana never gets penalized, then tie)
    2. khan had a good start, but second half of the fight he was running (props to him for fighting in the 12th however)
    3. khan is a champ and his name kept the fight goin (in the 10th, ref could've easily stopped the fight, khan was getting knocked the f around with hands down as well
    4. alex ariza's training (his legs kept up and didn't fail like against prescott)

    what I'm taking away from the fight is that khan is dope, but he did get lucky....i don't see him wanting any part of maidana anytime soon

    on another note, khan say's prescott would be easy if they ever fought again, yet he's no where to be found when bein called out.....kind of showing no confidence from a guy who perceives himself as having confidence (running mouth how he does this and that over manny)

    How can you justify winning the early rounds by boxing well and training properly "luck?"

    look fool, I'm saying he's lucky that he did all that, because if he didn't then most likely he wouldn't have came out the winner.     Maidana had three rounds to take out Khan after he rocked Khan in the beginning.

    Did he knock him out in the:

    10th: Nope
    11th: Nope
    12th: Nope

    People talk that he would've done it if it were a 15 round match, which is complete bs, if he couldn't do it 3, he wasn't going to do in 5.

    agreed, i was never one to say khan was goin get knocked out, i just say he was lucky that it didn't get stopped in that 10th

    Working hard on your conditioning, knocking your opponent down in the first, outboxing him in the following 4 rounds, as well as outboxing him in 8th and 9th.......isn't really luck, is it.

    And if we are to go by the official scorecards and you change the following incidents:

    - Maidana's point deduction
    - Maidana getting knocked down

    Guess what, Khan would still be winning by a split decision according to the official judges.

    Have to admit it is abit silly this thread.
    IF I had a million dollars I'd be rich.
    IF I payed attention in school I'd have better grades.
    IF I went to the gym and ate well, I'd have a better body.

    How about IF the round Maidaina was knocked down in went on further...well this thread would cease to be. Very poor.

    I dont understand your post.
    He was "lucky" he started well???

    What has luck got to do with starting well??

    He was well conditioned? Yet again,what hs luck got to do with that??

    You may as well say hes "lucky" tob so fast,and be so skilful!

    I could just as easily say that Maidana was lucky to not get knocked out in the first round. Maidana was lucky that he landed those big punches later in the fight,otherwise Khan would have won by more.

    Your post doesnt make a whole lot of sense.

    If he fights Maidana again,he'll probably still start fast,still be as well conditioned.

    As for Prescott,why would a world champ want to fight a nobody??


    Thats like saying Pacquiao should fight Megdoen Singsurat!!!
