and after the 3rd knockdown in rd 1 he should have been disqualified for hitting marquez when marquez was already down against the ropes but it was kind of good that it wasn't cause people then wouldnt get to witness that comeback that he did

I have heard people mention the punch but I saw it and never thought it was enough to warrant a DQ maybe a point and that would swing the decision in Marquez's favor. If anything Soto should not have been DQ'd and Manny should have for trade off purposes.

    No he shouldn't of.

He clearly thought Marquez was not all the way down, he could see that he was still holding himself up with his right arm on the ropes.

Pac has no way of knowing that his other hand is touching the ground.

All he knows is Marquez is not all the way down and he wants to make sure.

And he didn't even hit him that hard.

EDIT - Not even a point should of been taken off.

Marquez shouldn't of tried to hold himself up on the ropes if he didn't want to get hit.

Marquez probably wouldn't of tried to hold himself up had he known that there was no 3KD rule in effect.

Marquez clearly thought after he was officially down that the fight was over. You can see when he finally hears Cortez counting, he peeks through his gloves and gets up immediately after realizing the fight isn't over.

That's true but this is different.

If Marquez's arm wasn't touching the ground he had every right to hit him.

Common sense should prevail I dont think Manny did it on purpose, he wasnt sure Marquez was actually down

Yea I saw your post I dont disagree with you, I'd just hate to see a fight like this stopped down to a DQ, maybe a point a best, but I think with 20:20 we can see how well Marquez truely did to come back and get a draw!

    Should have been a DQ?
Okay, let's DQ on the first low blow or headbutt of each fight.
It's bad, but not end the fight bad.

Yeah, but boxers are in the heat of combat, how the hell are you going to be like "hey now! calm down!"

Barrera didn't get an automatic DQ for punching manny on the break. Where that witch hunt?
