this is totally ridiculous. i've seen fighters hit other fighters when they were down a lot harder and a lot more deliberately than that and they were never dq'd. they rarely ever even get a point taken.
This is being made into too big an issue! The fight was great, we can think of other things to discuss surely?
****ing hell i didnt say it was a dq nor did i say anything about ropes your statmen was idiotic now youve turned to isults and irrelavant things instead of just saying "yes your right hagman sorry"
Barrera v Marquez springs to mind. Tho without doubt what Pac did isn't anywhere near the level of what Barrera did.
Exactly what I was going to bring up. Barrera's came alot later and it happened in the center of the ring, unlike the ropes where JMM was holding on. I think MAB's was intentional.
Imagine how much better Pacs resume looks if the three knockdown rule was in effect :shock::shock::shock::shock::shock: 1st rd KO and then Marquez goes on to have a number of good wins on his resume.
I respect your opinion, but I just don't buy that, or that the judge made a goof up on their card. Marquez made one of the best comebacks I have ever witnessed and I feel JMM did do enough to not only win too many rounds to even the fight, but perhaps even win the fight. So a draw for me would of been very fair for both fighters. I won't take away or add to Pac's performance as I won't do the same for Marquez.
Marciano hit Walcott while he was clearly on one knee but he hit him with the kitchen sink. Probably one of the most famous punches while a man is down and he did not even get any kind of ridicule.
Yes, though you rarely see it in the States. Jameel McCline won a fight a few years ago with the 3 knockdown rule.
:thumbsup Amen man! I like the Rock but he gets no criticism for clearly hitting a man while he's down which is unfair.
