Tito was hurt bad and crushed his nuts INTENTIONALLY! You telling me he didnt use that 5 minutes to recover?
Why is everyone pointing out how long ago this was? This thread has nothing to do with Saturday night. I even state that "Whatever happens Saturday...." Tito WAS what he WAS. A Beast.
It wasn't the nut shots. It was Vargas lack of movement and ******ed willingness to trade with him :deal
Obviously Vargas was stupid to trade with him but that nutshot saved Tito's life. Not so much that Vargas was hurt that bad by it but it gave Tito time to recover. Do you think the low blow was an accident?
The first I think might have been intentional. that was the only one that really hit the nuts. The 3rd was definitely NOT intentional, Tito was actually kicking his ass when that one landed. :good
I don't think all of them were intentional. The one that benefitted him the most sure as hell was though.
That was undeed the fight of the new Millennium - December 2, 2000. Tito showed incredible fighting heart and crumbled in tears in the post fight presser for the sacrifice, his family and 4 the risk that he underwent. But Vargas made an incredible comeback after that first round and the low blows - he said to Larry Merchant a week after the fight ( cuz he had to go to the hospital) and in Studio that Tito clearly aimed for the "balls" to wear him down and that he would fight a rematch right away... Otherwise, why did Cotto landed those on Zab? I'm sorry but it has a lot to do with... Not as much as Duran on Buchanan ( end of the 13th) but still...
christ jack, what was that all about?atsch he praised your boy tito and didnt even mention oscar. what more do you want, exclusive pics of oscar modelling at an 'Anne Summers' party with a jack prescott mask on?:?
Tito is one of the greatest welterweights of all time, IMO. The best offensive fighter since Tommy Hearns, maybe even better than Tommy.
Did someone noticed the face of Vargas as he entered the ring and was being announced? Man what an ego he had back then, now he talks like a beat up Don Corleone.
He had planned on spitting that water in Titos face in the middle of the ring. What an ego indeed :yep Tito says to him at the stare down "This is the good stuff, Are you ready for the good stuff" and then proceeds to beat him like a veal cutlet
1. Awesome 2. True 3. Words of wisdom 4. very ********* by Tito 5. Not the most underrated, he still has a lot of fans on the forum 6. No they were not excuses:nono
