I'm currently in the process of rewatching the career of Canelo and I've just watched the first Golovkin fight meaning it's the rematch next.

With the trilogy fight being seemingly round the corner I thought might like to revisit this with me.

I'm going to give my rbr thought, can't promise I'll watch it all in one go because, well life.

But if anyone else wants to rewatch this fight and share their thoughts, feel free.

Before I start, here is my most recent scorecard so will be interesting to see if I still agree with my previous watching.

Damn thats wide for Golovkin, I think you will actually give Canelo another round this time. I had GGG winning by a round.

    Round 1: Canelo

Alvarez doesn't let Golovkin dominate the jab exchanges this time. He jabs with Golovkin which prevents that forward momentum. Now whilst Golovkin does still out jab him, it means the rest of the stuff Canelo does stands out more. So he held centre ring, landed his flashes counters, and at times was the man pressing the action.

    Round 2: Canelo

Excellent round for Alvarez this. He again jabs with Golovkin, but this time his counters have some extra cinnamon on them and he lands some beautiful highlight reel flush shots.

    Brilliant round.

    Round 3: Canelo

Whilst this was a better round for Golovkin, I just love what Canelo is doing here. Walking Golovkin down, making him miss in the pocket, jabbing with him, and whipping in those counters.

Golovkin is already pretty marked up.

    Excellent start from Canelo here.

    Round 4: Golovkin.

Finally triple G gets going. He ups the activity with the jab, which makes Canelo up the activity in response, as he's still refusing to give ground. Golovkin sees an opening for a huge uppercut, which Canelo took well, but it dropped his activity levels right down.

Canelo still trying to hold centre ring, but the better work by far was from Golovkin here.

    Round 5: Golovkin

I reckon this is the first swing round, I struggled with this one. Because whilst I loved Canelo holding his ground again, Golovkin out landed him and did the better work.

Both men looking a bit marked up here and it's so much more action than the first one.

    Round 6: Canelo

Again a very hard round to score. Both guys gave as good as they got and landed with success. I liked the shots of Canelo slightly better but I'd say this is another swing round like the last one.

    Round 7: Golovkin

Good round for Golovkin here. He out works and out lands Canelo, finishing the round very strongly.
