I had Golovkin taking the first fight, narrow but I thought it was clear. The second fight I thought Canelo landed the far more damaging punches and GGG's face showed it. I had Canelo winning close but have really no problem with someone going the other way I just disagree with it.
if people understood why certain criteria is laid out in scoring, and how it ties in with what each movement is designed to do, and its effectiveness when actually doing it, they would be better able to understand what is actually happening in the ring. but they dont. they cant tell when a fighter is inviting a certain punch, and they score that as weak defense. or they cant tell which punches are causing real damage, and which punches are throw away. so they have the throwaway puncher way ahead at the time the wheels come off because of the damaging punches hes been receiving. so one guy comes off looking like he just came from church, while the guy they have winning just lost years off their life. they just point to the words in the scoring criteria and say "see, according to these words, im scoring correctly". never even understanding what is being determined with each movement. they just look at glove touch there, good, glove touch over there, no good. there is no sophistication to what theyre looking at, its just a game of whackamole. they dont understand the spirit of the law, and why that law exists. i bet those same people have no idea what im even talking about right now.
Hey pumpkin, listen to Mexico Don Nacho Beristáin, unless you know better than him ofcourse He says that GGG won the two previous fights but thinks , as do I , that Canelo will win this 3rd fight... https://i.imgur.com/jsxV3hM.jpg
This was genuinely one of the best fights I watched in years. I've only ever watched it the once and it definitely needs a review ...if reminded me of a larger jmm Vs Barrera... A war fought at such an extremely technical level..it was beautiful to witness...with both fighting out of their skin to hang with the other with one eventually pulling away just abit. I disagree with the decision to this day as I think ggg should have got the nod ...but this fight is testament to just how great both fighters are
Ggg beat canelo twice imo. But let's face it, these two are made for each other and these two are certified atg. I am very certain the third fight will be close as hell and let's give old man ggg props, he is a fu.... beast and one of a kind
GGG had slow starts in both fights, don't see that changing in a third one. Canelo improved upon what he didn't do in the first fight. One of GGG's biggest mistakes was not attacking the body more.
I had Canelo clearly winning the first 6 rounds and the 12th. Pretty easy fight to score to be honest.
