However - I'm assuming this was fought under British Boxing Board of Control rules, a very close round would often mean that the score should be 10-10, if its that hard to call....so your card would likely be a 114-114 draw.
I was there live and have since watched it back. My card: 1 - Catterall 2 - Taylor 3 - Catterall 4 - Taylor 5 - Catterall 6 - Catterall 7 - Taylor 8 - Catterall (10-8) 9 - Taylor 10 - Taylor (10-8) 11 - Taylor 9-9 (Taylor point off) 12 - Taylor 113-112 Taylor.
One common thing I’ve noticed about close fights that’s either wrong or controversial is the person who should have won almost always give up the last 4 rounds.. Catterall should have took notes from Kambosos and close out the show to where they can’t take it from you. Castano did the same thing and I even remember Kovalev at the end did the first fight vs Andre Ward. I always call it live as I’m watching because I know what those scorecards are gonna look like afterwards.. Had Kambosos not finished as strong as he did he would have lost vs Lopez.
