Remember once upon a time when Forrest and Tszyu were kings of 147 and 140? I came across an old Kellerman article that hyped a potential rematch from their days in the amateurs, but with pro supremacy on the line. http://assets.espn.go.com/boxing/columns/kellerman_max/1496970.html Mayorga sure was exciting but I really wonder how Forrest's career would've gone if he took a KT fight, avenged the amateur loss to Tszyu, then moved up to 154 instead for the big money fights with DLH, Tito, and Vargas. Thoughts?
I'm a big Tszyu fan too, but the KT of the amateurs was a complete fighter. The pro KT had his moments like against Hurtado where he could be lured into trading and opening himself up.
True, I just think he was in another class is all. It really depends on when they fought I guess. He depended on his fast reflexes and head movement (as evident in the amatuer bout) but that power he posessed would have most certainly been the difference in a pro-fight rematch I think. I don't know. I hate these 'what-if' matchups... lol
