Was there anything Tua's camp could've done to adjust their gameplan, or would it have ended up the same way every time, which is Lewis using his reach and height to turn Tua into a plodder?

Tua's left hook was so dangerous, and Lewis's team did an excellent job neutralizing it.

Tua should have went to the body alot of times in which it would weaken Lewis from moving away alot of times.

They didn't turn Tua into a plodder, because he really already was one, and only had one dangerous punch in his left hook. Tua was just too physically limited in height, reach, speed and movement to make any other result realistically possibly.

Lewis spent alot of time galloping away from Tua. Because of this; Tua should have went to the body. He was head hunting that night and it cost him. Basically every punch Tua thrwe should have been right and left hand jabs to the body and then left and right hooks to the body. Lewis was not really in position to counter so he had his openings.

    He blew it that night.

More ( as if he threw ANY ) body punches could have forced Lewis to counter which would have gave Tua more openings for the left hook to the head.

Nah Tua was too short he had to keep lunging in for the left hooks to the head which of course missed

it was a disappointing fight. tua could of attacked the body to lower lewis's guard or counter his jab, but lewis was in another league where he boxed circles around tua. tua's shots, as powerful as they were, were very wide open. perhaps how someone smaller, slicker like chris byrd was able to beat him

Tua needed to come in in shape. Throw combos when he had LL trapped on the ropes and corner. He coulda caught LL if he just threw more punches at opportune times. Despite his plodding style.

Tua was never really gifted anyway.......... Tua was just a quick left-hooker with brute power........ PLUS! Tua fought a buncha' bums and stiffs prior to his 2000 title shot with Lenny Lewis, with the exception of Ike Ibeabuchi and Hasim Rahman.... The answer is NO! Tua was doomed against Lewis from the beginning....... Besides Tua is merely a wicked hooker; not a right handed bomber..... Lewis only got clipped / KO'd by right hand bombs from "McCall & Rahman."

I don't really think there was anything that Team Tua could have done as far as putting together a different fight plan. Tua's left hook was his bread and butter punch and Lewis was too cerebral and disciplined to surrender his height advantage, thus ensuring that Tua would have to lunge in to land it. Combine that with the Lewis jab that he had to contend with (no cupcake I might add) and the occasional right hand (also formidable) to keep Tua honest and you have exactly what those factors combine to produce: the fight that we saw and would probably see if they fought 5 more times.

He could have tried to be busier but he probably would have found himself picked off with more regularity.
