    Winner was to face Marciano.

This was an absolute WAR. Dare I say Rex Layne showed he had an iron chin in this fight. Those bombs satterfield hit him with in round 7 would have felled any other fighter. Powerful right hand by Layne to finish the show

Satterfield had Rex ready for bed a couple of times but couldn't quite tuck him in.Bob sure could crack.
Rex was never much good after Marciano had put him through the ringer.

The shot that decked Layne had to be one of the hardest I've ever seen someone take and come back from.

Marciano commentated on a Satterfield v Baker fight, without going into detail he said Satterfield didn't like to train. The word is he was a party animal
