Imade the point which escaped you because you were so busy frendzedly galloping to defend a Marciano opponents honour that as Walcott dropped decisions to guys he was confidently expected to beat[and in fact did on other occasions,]it was a big ask to expect him to keep a clean sheet against those 80's guys I named.Iwould expect himto beat about 60% of them,and infact in a replyto Mr Magoo I said 60% or more,but you probbalywould not have seen that being so busy with your hysterically righteous crusade to protect the name of your idol!

You're not dealing with a full deck are you? You're neither logical or rational on the subject of Marciano ,who by the way YOU brought onto this thread not anyone else, something I specifically asked you to stop doing.

In a blatantly obvious hometown decision, Referee Jack Dempsey scored 2 rounds for Layne, 1 round for Charles with 7 rounds even. Most objective observers felt Charles had won. During the fight Layne butted Charles repeatedly without caution from the referee.

Legendary cornerman and trainer Ray Arcel said,"Instead of adding dignity to the fight game, Dempsey has added disgrace."
