Cockell was really a L-HW, but even without the Glandular Weight gaining problem, he would have finished off at HW anyway, though he would have been a L-HW for longer. Layne did seem to have his 5 moments in the Sun and from what I remember was a pretty good valid fighter, I don't think over all he was as technically sound as Cockell and I'm sure the Don could have forced him to victory. But maybe during that time in the Sun, Layne might have Toughed Out a more sustainable win. I'm not sure, I'll leave it to the In House, Ringside reporters.
