Lets forget about Cosell's announcing, the impact of Shavers' punch that was heard around the arena and that Holmes went down like a sack of grain. Have you ever heard Holmes' interviews about that particular fight? He said it was the hardest he has ever been hit with a single punch.

I'd say he was hurt.

 

Shavers. You could never really write the guy off, you might be winning against him on points, have him in trouble or he might be gassing out but there is still that punch!

 

I'd say it was a miracle he got up!
