When he was at his short-lived prime, he could certainly take Lyle, probably by decision. Bowe would probably be too much for him.

I've only seen Layne in the fights where he's getting KO'd by Marciano and TKO'd by Charles.
His style seems to be that of a brawler, very tough, and he outweighs those two. On that little evidence, I think he'd need to box a hell of a lot more to stand a chance of beating Ron Lyle, a huge guy who I feel would prevail in any sort of slugging match, and perhaps any sort of boxing match. I cant see Layne beating Bowe.

Layne-Bowe might be great. I'd pick Riddick, probably by KO but it would be an entertaining fight. Same with Layne-Lyle, I'd slightly favor Lyle but it would be interesting.

Not a chance.. Layne gets demolished by both of them. Too big and too good.

    I tend to doubt it.

Rex Layne in his prime could hold his own vs Lyle and I would not be suprised if he won...Quarry handled a prime lyle pretty easily as far as Big Daddy, I would favor Bowe but that also depends on which version, the Holyfield version or the Golota version, the 1st Bowe should win the 2nd should lose
