Here's another boxer I wonder about as far as what fans expected of him in the early part of his career or before its start? This Hong Kong Warrior captured his people's imagination but had to hang up his gloves due to injury. But was he expected to capture world title honors?

Rex was expected to be a champion by those in Hong Kong/China, but it was pretty clear he was never going to hold a title long with his style. Always wish we'd seen him Vs Jamie Conlan :(

For those that haven't seen him check out these:

I'd just like to say I've never heard of Jamie Conlan either.

I would bet that he is naturally right handed. He has a very laborious unnatural way of throwing his straight left most of the time. It seems uncomfortable for him.

Out of interest, have you heard of Michael Conlan? (The 2016 Olympian who flipped the bird) Tis his brother!

I must admit to not being at all versed in modern boxing. Don't know most of the current ones to be honest.

Thank you! So in essence, the boxing public in America didn't necessarily expect him to be champ?

I think he was that lawyer that got OJ off.

Most of the US boxing public won't have had a clue who he was. Very much a local draw with some fans following him due to his style

Ah, okay; so it sounds like Tso isn't too known beyond Asia at all?
