Rey Vargas Challenges for a Third Division in a Month- Nobody Cares

Rey Vargas will be fighting O'Shaquie Foster for the vacant WBC super feather title. Yet nobody seems to care or even know. How is PBC doing this poor of a job? Vargas would be a perfect Tank opponent. Tall, long, boxes well, shaky chin, possible three division champion. I could see them making this fight for sure. They could bill it as Vargas, the 37-0 3 division champion challenging for a 4th division, Tank's WBA title. Lol.

Anyway, predictions? Thoughts?

 

That would be great, definitely. I was hoping we'd see it. Vargas is actually calling out Leo Santa Cruz after this one.

 

Yeah, but based on the way they're moving, I'd guess that this is PBC's goal. The WBC didn't just wake up one morning and decide to allow Vargas to fight for their vacant title in a division he never fought in before. PBC has a hand in this, and my prediction is that they want to build Vargas up with this and perhaps the Leo Santa Cruz fight to make him a suitable, somewhat well known opponent for Tank later this year, or perhaps in early 2024.
