Rey Geovani Vargas Roldan is a 5'10ish? 24 year old Super Bantamweight with a 23-0 20 KO's record. Born in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico and fighting out of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. Vargas was seven times Nat'l Champion, Pan-American gold medalist and his Amateur record was an impressive 128-6 unfortunately he was too young to qualify for the 2008 Olympics and by the time 2012 rolled around he had already turned pro. Nacho Beristain is very high on Vargas he said of his young prospect, “He has everything to be a world champion, the future is in his hands.” Rey seems to have a good level head on his shoulders, he wants to take his time and build himself into a more impressive fighter and constantly learn new things about his craft from each outing. He's fast, wirey, rangy, awkward, good punch selection, good body work and heavy handed, will he follow in the footsteps of Barrera, Morales or Marquez and be a great? Check Out King Rey In Action. :toney:toney:toney:toney

Jeez, that's a bit early no? I've only seen him fight once but I can tell you that Rigo will school him.

Rigo would school everyone at 122, if they'd fight him/if he had better promoters.

Although maybe inactivity/age will take its toll now

You're right, even still if he ever would have a chance it's too early to be taking on this kind of opponent.
