Tuesday afternoon (early morning for us North Americans) in Manila. WBO bantamweight Oriental title on the line, Gaballo's second defense. The incumbent, a 27 year old Pinoy kayo artist, has lost just once in his career - stopped in four rounds by Nonito Donaire in 2021 in a bid to upgrade himself to full championship status. He is a former two-time interim world champion at bantam - once for the WBA in 2018, and the WBC in 2020. His opponent, a 40 year old Thai southpaw formerly of Kokietgym affiliation, shares the distinction of having only ever tasted interim world title gold. He was the WBA's interim champ briefly at minimumweight in 2011 and early 2012 - when he was busted for dealing meth and consequently stripped.
This is probably going to be live streamed on the Sanman Promotions social media pages. First bell on the card is at 5pm local time (4am EST).
In the co-main event, unbeaten Filipino prospect/contender KJ Dionson Cataraja will be in action versus countryman Gaudencio Magparok "Jun" Blazo Jr., and the undercard will feature this Uyghur Chinese rookie from Ürümqi (the one in pink) in his sophomore outing: This content is protected
two fighters going in different directions.... its a mismatch in my opinion.. Pai is out of his weight division
You can say that again... it only took Gaballo two punches to put him away. Right cross on the face, left hook on the liver for a twenty-two second KO. This content is protected
