    No jokes.

Holyfield get his shot at Ibragimov very soon and win by decision.
Golota crack at Chagayev this fall and win by KO.
Vitaly lose to McCline or get injured again, so McCall pull upset over Peter.
Wlad KO Brewster but get spanked by Rahman late fall.

By the December we may see some unifications.

    Say:
    Golota-Holyfield
    Rahman-McCall

While the first 3 are vaguely feasible, I really can't see Rahman beating Waldo.

I would say it is 75/25 for Hloyfield and Golota to win the title.
McCall and Rahaman gets like 25/75 but in average it is 50/50 overall.

Holyfield would come out the victor out of this bunch, that's what is funny.

McCall KTFO Rahman anyday of the week.

Holyfield beats the badly faded Golota.

Then McCall vs. Holyfield, Holyfield would take him by a clear UD.

If you would give me an even money bet on the above happening - I would bet every penny I have that it wouldn't happen.

I'd say the odds of the above happening are about this:

    Holyfield winning. 30%
    Golota winning. 30%
McCall winning 5% (with your scenario above)
    Rahman IBF champ. 5%

That gives odds of about .0225 %

    You're saying 50%?????

Your maths is miles out anyway.

If you think the first thing is 75%, and the second is 25%, the odds of it happening are 75% * 25% = 18.75%. You multiply them together, not average them....

So the current Evander, who defeated Oquendo close, can't equally beat a totally shot Golota, whom has improved his mentality with age maybe?

How about Rahman though? He won't even make it past the first couple of rounds with any of them if he shows up like he did vs. Sykes.

hes right. its like finding odds of winning lottery with 49 numbers
    1/49*1/48*1/47...etc.

but personally i think tua would have a better shot of defeating wlad that rahman. whats rahman gonna do, scare him with his scar? even tyson would have a better shot

    Maths 101
If one even has a probability of 25% and another has a probability of 75%, then the probability of both occurring is not 50%, but 25% * 75%, which equals 18.75%

You know Amsterdam, I really think that there is more talent in the heavyweight division than most people give credit for. Its the lousy organizations, their fake ratings, the no good promoters and some cowardice from some of the fighters themselves that prevents them from fighting.

With four distinct lines and every champ taking at least one safe defense and sometimes loosing that in a neverending downward spiral, yeah, it looks pretty shitty.

But step back. We have four reasonably solid champs:

    Wlad Klit
    Chag
    Sultan
    Oleg

Four good guys on deck for shots:

    Brewster
    Peter
    Mcal
    Vit Klit

A couple of good guys in the bullpen:

    Lyakovich
Holyfield (yeah, I know. But he's on a streak so I'm throwing him in).

    Some good prospects:

    Solis
    Povetkin
    Dimintrenko
    David Haye
    Boytsov

    Some fun trial horses:

    Rahmen
    Toney
    Moorer
    Valuless
    Sanders
    Tua

And, as far as being contentenders go, we have finally gooten rid of:

    Byrd
    Ruiz
    Briggs

No, its not the seventies or the nineties, but thats a better list than most eras.

    they just have to fight.
