No way Wlad would fall. Chagaev, you can expect almost anything from him, but he did have a solid gameplan in his title fight, so he´s smart. Ibragimov would lose to any fighter named in this topic. Peter is a diamond, but rather rugged one. I guess Holyfield and McCall might make it, expecially McCall since he beat a ranked contender. Rahman is done, so is Golota. I would say Holyfield is also done but the paps is a bit crazy and has had a warrior´s career.

I agree Cachibatches, it's mainly the boxing politics that are keeping the most interesting fights from happening...and I think everyone is to blame for that, it's most definitely not just a handy "Don King is the devil" excuse.

The other is that we've had a lot of quick-change unsuccessful title defences...most guys have had problems making more than one. Now Valuev has fallen, Wlad's the only active belt-holder with more than 1 defence.

Exactly right. It seems to be a downward spiral with guys taking defenses they think are safe and losing anyway. Then the cycle starts over again.

After Rahman's lame performance against Sykes, I'm sure Wlad has changed his mind about fighting him.

The odds of this happening are next to nothing. maybe worse. Did you see Rahman's fight against Sykes?? If he went a round with Wlad, he'd be lucky. His glass jaw is worse than ever - SYKES rocked him!!:patsch
