Rhodes given title shot v Alvarez

Rhodes has a chance here IMO, like someone else said if he survives the early onslaught I think he can take a decision

 

theres no way he gets a decision in mexico. he has to stop him.

its a stupid move from Alvarez backers the WBC because the outcome of this fight will be one of

a) Rhodes wins by KO
b) Rhodes is robbed and Alvarez looks like **** to all the fans
c) Rhodes makes Alvarez look awful but still wins a close UD

 

About time some luck come Rhodes way , he deserves his shot at the title. His ring Savvy maybe the key to victory

Rhodes has a 40% chance of winning this. Regardless of where the fight's held, he HAS to go for it at this late stage in his career - this is the opportunity the Spice Boy's been after all his life. Let's face it, his career has floundered, he'd be crazy to turn this shot down.

 

Ryan has a decent chance at winning this fight, hope he does but will be difficult as people have said already he is the underdog

Rhodes had a history of pulling out of high risk low reward fights. Not the case with this one.

I'm going to reserve judgement until we have a better idea of money etc. Facts are Rhodes is good and wound give this dude a good fight, but successions of pull outs and inactivity give me no confidence of it happening.
However I will be cheering on our spice boy

He will get decent money. As mandatory he is guarenteed 25% in purse bids so for them to cut a deal before bids there going to need to offer him good cheddah as everyone is aware of the cash he makes from ticket sales, HBO and Mexican TV.
