Alvarez will certainly have to put in a better effort than he did against Hatton. Frankly, Rhodes is a better boxer than Hatton, twice the fighter of him at 154lbs and has a great deal more power. It's true Rhodes will not get a decision over there but he has enough skills to get Alvarez walking onto a power shot, ala Moore. Another factor is how much Rhodes has aged in the time since the Moore fight in which he has had no useful competitive action. Hoepfully he can do it, I've always liked Rhodes as a fighter
if they fight in mexico city it could.watching that wsb it seems a major problem for visiting teams in mexico
I think smog was also a problem in that fight as it was held outdoors in one of the most polluted cities in the west.
Rhodes has a better chance than Matty Hatton of beating the gingerbread kid. People forget the monster Rhodes was at LMW in his youth.
Can't wait to see this (as with many other British fights this year so far!). Comfortable win for Alvarez though..
