Rhodes v Webb or Rose will be great fights.

    Domestically he can still dominate.

Webb, Rose, Arron, etc all very beatable.

Agree, Rabchenko surprised me a bit with his counter-punching.

Yep, Rose/Rhodes would be a cracking fight, but Rose' defensive lapses will be his downfall against a solid puncher like Rhodes.

I still think Rhodes has a few pay days left at domestic level, if he want's that. He was in with a good, young fighter last night. No disgrace in losing.

He lost but no shame, he just needs to drop down a level and a fight with Rose would tell us more about his level.

I find it astounding how as soon as a "older" fighter gets beat it's advised he should hang up the gloves.

Lynes, Matthews, Witter all recently have had big wins yet all had been written off before.

If Ryan wants to fight on, he should. He got stopped with a body shot, was a little marked up post fight but basically fine. If on the end of a bad beating, or if he decides himself he no longer wishes to fight, should be when he decides to retire.

For me it was the best fight of the night, and a pleasure to watch a Boxing match of classy fighter's, Rhoads is not a shot fighter IMHO, And still has a lot to offer, I would rather watch some one of Rhoads class box' than an over hyped prospect any day. Well Done to Rabchenco he is no doubt one for the future.

No reason he can't drop down a level and fight on some of Kels Steel city cards.
3/4 fights, Big home crowds, Sky coverage (which shouldnt be taken lightly at this moment in time),decent money, and another British championship outright.
A lot don't get to bow out on such a stage.

Edit. Probably getting carried away now because Vegas would want it but Khan/Kel at somewhere like Bramall Lane with 38,000 fans would be another potential big gig for Rhodes.

He can still earn in one night more than it takes most of Us two years to earn why would he retire ?

it was the clip on the chin that did the damage, the body blow simply put an end to his sail, very good game plan that hatton planned against the man he represents, but thats another complicated argument.

i know the rhodes family well, and they are a massive family and everyone of them thrive on boxing and the sheffield scene would be a shadow of itself if it wasnt for ryan and even more importantly Glyn.

it would be sad to see him retire, although another chance of world honours are gone, maybe a swansong against rose in blackpool would be a nice way to mark an incredible career, i know coldwell will choose right
