Watching the interviews at Rhodes retirement party and everyones talking about coming back and him being one of the best not to win a world title etc

Ultimately, isn't Rhodes just a victim of nothing fights? The reality is that since he turned pro not a year went by that he wasn't having fights. What is apparent, is the amount of years lost to fighting absolute nobodies and not advancing domestically or internationally.

Had he, and so many other boxers, not wasted their time on nothing fights that don't advance their career in anyway then they would probably be better off in terms of money, legacy and achievements in their trophy cabinet.

Interesting point, his best win was over a shot Jamie Moore

there were periods where he went through ten fights in a row fighting low tier journeymen

when Kugan asked Froch what stood out about Rhodes career Froch said his loss to Grant and his loss to Matthews
