    Round 3

Durán is harrying Castillo, jumping in on him and scoring in speedy combos, then pulling a ninja vanish, reappearing on his other side and doing the same. Castillo looking very discouraged and beginning to show ill effects from Durán's light pecking (yet abundantly thrown and mostly flush-landing) shots. Durán scores a left hand that forces Castillo to a knee and he rides the count pretty deep but reluctantly does rise and finish out the round. Watch out for a stool quit...

    10-8 Durán

    30-26 Durán

I don't think El Loco is packing the archetypal Mexican warrior heart. Let's see if he answers the bell for the fourth, that'll be a big step toward proving himself...

    Round 4

Durán is continuing to annoy the hell outta this wiry-strong but hapless teenager, who simply can't avoid his shots or get a counter-punch in edgewise. Castillo wants to quit, you can see it clearly in his body language. Durán jumping all over him zinging him with straight combos from a fluid, rhythm-breaking left-handed stance. Castillo to a knee again, riding the full count here.

    TKO4!

"El Zurdo de Oro" (the Golden Southpaw) improves to 16-0 (4), with his KO rate skyrocketing from 20 up to a robust 25 percent. :sisi1

Duran seems to be pretty hyped for a Panamanian prospect. We’ll probably see him on some German Titov card in the near future as the b-side in some sort of intercontinental title bout lol

The commentators referred to Durán as "Maravilla" - not sure if that was just a generic complimentary phrase or if he actually has two ring names. (like the guy we saw in the main event for GBP on ESPN tonight, who is apparently somehow attempting to pull off juggling both "Kingry" and "The Flash" simultaneously)

Or maybe he switched from Zurdo de Oro to Maravilla recently, who knows. :nusenuse:

Aslanbek Kozaev would drag him to hell. :deal:

Oh I don’t think it’d go well for him but just something I could see happening in his future lol

Note: this is Ricardo "El Matemático" Núñez; the one that has been around for a dozen years. His much younger brother Ricardo "El Cientifico" Núñez fought in March, knocking out a wannabe from MMA. That one is 24 years old with a 19-2 (17) record and is on the way up in his career. The one in the main event here tonight is probably taking his victory lap and looking for one last payday after spending time in the world title picture from about 2009 until 2013.

    Round 1

    R. Núñez is attacking the body of the broader & taller Cuban, jabbing under the lazy feel-out jab and diving in with right crosses, then chopping at the blond Mohawk with the right when L. Núñez bends forward and sucks his middle inward to retract it from the killing fields. R. Núñez is spun into a corner where the Cuban starts to whip left hooks into his side, but R. Núñez bursts free and claps him upside the head with a right hand while flying into a clinch.

    10-9 R. Núñez, close

This is for the vacant WBA Fedelatin bantamweight title, by the way. It would be the first hardware of Leosdan Núñez's career, while Ricardo Núñez has previously held the same belt at flyweight as well as the WBC Latino flyweight title and the WBA Intercontinental & Fedecaribe super flyweight titles.

Leosdan is surprisingly game. Either that or El Matemático is shot

30 for this weight range and having been in a lot of wars between 9 and 5 years ago, is ancient. If he captures this bauble he should call it a day on the high note and just be content to sit ringside from now on and bask in his little bro's future glory.

    Round 2

    R. Núñez is staying low, weaving his way in close and then popping up with hooks brushing the cheek of the unbeaten youngster. A few right hands chopped against the bleached-blonde strip on the Cuban's head from the veteran. Lots of clinches. L. Núñez is unable to fully get the knuckle pads of either fist to land squarely & cleanly on the older Panamanian but is chucking serious leather, often just barely deflected away from the chin or grazing its side.

    10-9 R. Núñez, close

    20-18 R. Núñez
