I have Lopez winning this. Very little of Tanaka's career was at 105 or 108. It was early in Kosei's career and Finito was much better than that version of Tanaka. Lopez by KO.
Tanaka is a unique offensive talent but he’s far too defensively porous to be able to handle a technically proficient boxer with power like Lopez. Finito would pick apart Tanaka and stop him midway in similar fashion that Ioka did but in worse fashion.
I've never seen a better boxer/puncher at that weight range than Ricardo Lopez. I know it's a pastime to dissect every tiny movement of his on film and denigrate his opposition, but I seen what I seen and I ain't gonna unsee it.
Román González is probably the only fighter around that weight who is arguably as good if not a bit better than Lopez IMO.
