Alex Sanchez, Rosendo Alvarez( 1 & 2) and that gut that ended Chiquita Gonzalez career(Saman something I know he was Thai and Lopez dominated him)

Saman Sorjaturong. And yes, fights like that are what put Lopez on a pedestal for me, considering he so easily destroyed a fighter like Sorjaturong, who stopped one of the best fighters of the era in Gonzalez.

Anyways, I don't know if I can actually pick a best, but based on accounts, considering he was past his prime facing his best opponent, and arguably lost one of them, I'd say it's a safe bet that his best performances weren't against Alvarez.

Again, I haven't seen them and scored them yet, but from what I understand from another poster who has, he scored the fights for Alvarez in the first fight, and the rematch a draw.

Anyways, pretty much any footage of him in his prime is about as dominant as it comes. He was such a skilled fighter.

reason why I included Alvarez was because he had to overcome a younger stronger fighter and proved he was a fighter who could dig down when he had to. Wasnt his most dominating performances but showed he could deal with adversity like all greats eventually have to.

Ohhhh......I would suggest if you ever get the chance, to watch both those Alvarez fights.

The first fight was highly contested......I dont think Lopez knew at the time just how good Alvarez really was......
......Lopez got dropped in the 2nd round by a bomb, that he had no business getting up from.....
.....After a slow start, Lopez got back in the fight and was getting the better of it in the rounds right before the accidental cut stoppage.

Make no mistake, Lopez clearly won the rematch vs Alvarez.
.....it was very reminicent and I would parralel it to the recent JMM-Pac fight.
It was competitive, but clearly like JMM, Lopez was the better man.

Just like the JMM fight, it was one of those physically taxing, but clear points victory for Ricardo Lopez.

I'd highly recommend the viewing of that Lopez-Alvarez rematch.
A terrific display of boxing skill and fighting heart by the great
    "Finito" Lopez!

Competitive but clear victory for Lopez!

He puts on a masterclass in nearly every fight. It is beautiful to watch, boxing at it's finest.

In terms of dominance against higher quality performers: Zolani Potelo, who succeeded him as the best fighter at straweight, was considerably younger, and a lot bigger than Lopez on the night that they fought.

In terms of legacy: The Alavarez, Sanchez and Saman Sor Jaturong fights.
