Lopez is so under-rated .. A top 20 ATG in my opnion. Being honest ive never seen Jung Koo Chang fight so you can all call me an ******* for commenting on only 1 fighter but im a huge Ricardo Lopez fan and im going to take any chance that i can to give him my support. Im so sick of seeing lists of the top fighters over the last 30 years and nobody ever mentions Lopez .. I dont know Chang but i'd put everything i own on Lopez to win, he was amazing !!

Chang would win it IMO. Too much pressure & stamina, too many punches in bunches for the very technically skilled, but almost textbook confined Lopez. Chang would start coming on toward the second half of the bout after Lopez cruises to an initial lead due to his movement and range control. Once he starts to turn up the heat he'll most likely look to get in the trenches with Lopez and throw non-stop body-head combinations, where Lopez was largely untested and didn't seem as comfortable.

Chang's combination of speed, pressure and stamina overcomes Lopez's superior technique, although Lopez would certainly have his moments throughout the fight and make it extremely close on the cards.

Lopez is propably my favorite fighter of all time, but if Alvarez could give him hell in two fights, then Chang (who was faster and implimented a similar type of style to even greater effect) could probably turn the trick more often than not.

Ah, two of my favorite lower weights boxers.

Lopez for my money is a true pound per pound great. A technician, a lights out puncher, cool as a cucumber, and a winner.

Chang was fast, threw colorful combo's, and could play defense, but lacked power and was short, even for a straw weight.

I think Lopez wins here. Too, long, too strong, too technical.

108 pound Pryor vs Arguello? I think right now I'd lean slightly toward Lopez. Both terrific fighters. There's video of Chang on Youtube.

Unfortunately its the second Ohashi fight i think, by which time Chang had went completely off the rails and was about to initially retire.

Oh man, if people are giving Chang even a chance against Lopez, I need to get some of his fights, he must be an amazing fighter considering how good Lopez was .... This is the great thing about forums, the learning ....

Chang is one of the few that's able to hang with Lopez at this weight. He would use his skills to edge Lopez over 12, a slightly bigger margin if it's a 15 rounder.
