Finito past his prime but still elite while Inoue was just a young pup at 108. I'll take the more experienced Lopez against the unrefined Monster. Prime for prime though I personally think Inoue is better IMO.
That was the ferocious young Inoue at his best. Throwing head an body shots like there was no tomorrow. Didn’t matter if he was hitting elbows, shoulders or the top of heads as well as the face an body. I think this why he had so many hand problems back then which everyone forgets about
Naoya was 6-0 last time he made 108. Lopez was hugely experienced. This is not a fair fight - however, Inoue is a better boxer than Lopez best for best pound for pound.
At some point, talent tells. Inoue was such a devastating, fast and crushing puncher from 108 - 118, I just don't see Lopez taking it from him for 12 rounds, particularly since Lopez would try to win and not just survive, which would lead to his demise.
Fraud? Have you ever watched him fight? Lopez was SUPREMELY skilled. Great boxing ability, elite footwork, incredible punch selection, and surprising power for someone his size.
Give me some examples of boxers at that weight with better skills if you are so knowledgeable. Lopez' competition was occasionally underwhelming because the talent pool at the lowest weights is often that way. But, Lopez dominated a number of very good fighters
No one, because the all-time talent and skill depth of the weight classes López fought in are about as deep as the shallow end of a kids’ pool. Happy new year btw! Happy new year classic!!!
